Democratic Candidate Rachelle Litt Endorsed by Six Palm Beach County School Board Members Palm Beach, FL - Rachelle Litt, former Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens and Democratic candidate for Florida State House District 94, proudly announces the endorsement of six out of seven Palm Beach County School Board Members. This significant show of support from respected education leaders highlights Litt's commitment to advancing progressive values within the education system. Palm Beach County School Board Members Frank Barbieri (the current Chair), Karen Brill (the current Vice Chair), Marcia Andrews, Alexandria Ayala, Barbara McQuinn and Erica Whitfield all are throwing their support behind Rachelle Litt's candidacy. Announcing her support, Marcia Andrews said, “Rachelle has the background and experience to serve effectively in Tallahassee. She’ll stand up against the MAGA takeover of our public education system and ensure that Palm Beach County’s public schools receive the funding and support they need to provide students with an outstanding education.” Accepting the endorsements and expounding upon the need to improve Florida’s public education system, Litt replied, “Every child regardless of age, race, ability or zip code deserves access to a world class education. It's up to our elected leaders in Tallahassee to see that happens in the State of Florida. Our legislature, under Republican control, has been failing miserably.” These six nonpartisan officeholders have made a deliberate choice to endorse Democratic candidate Litt because she recognizes the need for change in the face of increasingly draconian education standards and controversial curricula decreed by Republicans each legislative session. Learning communities across Florida have become ground zero for the GOP's attempts to whitewash history, ostracize LGBT children, and ban books, among other concerning actions. In addition to the endorsement from the Palm Beach County School Board Members, Rachelle Litt has previously announced support from various prominent individuals in the political arena. Congresswoman Lois Frankel, State Senators Lori Berman and Tina Polsky, as well as State Representatives Kelly Skidmore and Katherine Waldron, have all announced their endorsements of Litt's candidacy. These endorsements demonstrate the widespread recognition of Litt's proven track record of public service and her dedication to issues that matter most to her constituents. Rachelle Litt's campaign has already gained significant momentum, with over $50,000 raised as of the end of the third fundraising quarter on September 30th. ### About Rachelle Litt A resident of Palm Beach Gardens for over 30 years, Rachelle Litt's journey into politics began in 2011 when she volunteered for Organizing for America, the Obama re-election campaign. From there, she quickly rose to become a Volunteer Neighborhood Team Leader and activist, recognizing the crucial role grassroots organizing plays in election successes. Litt was elected to the Palm Beach Gardens City Council in March 2017, a city where Republicans outnumber Democrats. In 2021, she was appointed by her City Council colleagues to serve as Mayor. With a background in healthcare, Litt graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy and is a Florida licensed Pharmacy Consultant. She has worked as a retail pharmacist, a pharmacist consultant, and a hospital pharmacist at Saint Mary's Medical Center as well as Jupiter Medical Center. About State House District 94 State House District 94 is currently represented by Rick Roth, who is term limited, leaving this seat open for the 2024 cycle. The electorate split evenly between President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump in 2020, making it one of the true swing seats in Florida and a top pick-up opportunity for Democrats. ###
